Elizabeth Khorey's Gallery
Elizabeth Khorey received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of California. Her career has encompassed many prestigious clients and interior design applications. Her amazing talents brought her to transport her artisan skills and sensibilities in textural mediums to her art work. She uses dynamic knowledge of dense opaque colors and transparent layers of embedded abstract shapes and forms employed by encaustics. Encaustics lends itself to a translucent quality of uniqueness in which color and endless possibilities of sculptural ability is at the fingertips of the artisan. This molten wax is applied hot and when cooled is carved, burnished or scrapped. By mixing this medium with various plasters, glazes and hues the depth and dimension become a matchless creative piece perfectly unique in each creation.
